<if_key> - functional change V7 to V8.2.5

Today I upgraded from MTP V7 to V8.2.5
One thing I am having problems with is the "<if_key>" command, which is ignoring certain keys but seeing others. For example, a command with hotkey shift-k internally looked to see if the "k" key was being held and while so, kept looping. I used this for rapid fire in a FPS game and it worked fine in V7. In V8 it doesn't see the "k" key being held down. Same with "`" (look at the key above tab and left of the one (1) key). One macro that used "`" as hotkey I edited so that it looked for the "3" key and looped while it was being seen as held down. This worked fine. I tried using the keycodes :
But the behaviour didn't change, it still ignored the same keys. Any assistance greatly appreciated!

Looks like my problem was a change in default macro execution speed..
